Branch pick-up is a free service to our residents. It runs on Wednesday from the first week of April through the last week in November. Residents must put branches on front parkway. Branches should be four (4) inches in diameter or smaller. Anything over four (4) inches in diameter, which includes logs, tree stumps, and large limbs, must be trimmed of small limbs and cut to a width of four (4) inches in diameter and approximately five (5) feet long.
Branch pick-up is a service provided by the South Chicago Heights Public Works Department. There may be delays in Wednesday pick-ups depending on the work load of the Public Works Department. Water main breaks and other department emergencies take priority but branches are picked up in a timely manner.
