  • All buildings in South Chicago Heights that are for sale must be inspected.  The fee for a single dwelling is $175. Additional fees apply for dwellings with multiple units.

  • All residential rental properties in the Village of South Chicago Heights must be inspected annually per Village code.

  • A permit is required to install a fence. You must bring your plat of survey to the Village Hall. You may install the fence yourself or use a contractor licensed with the Village. Post holes must be 42 inches deep and require an inspection. Fences may not exceed 6 feet in height.  All fencing must stay within your property line.
